Constructed as a post office from 1923 to 1928, this extraordinary edifice is the work of Raoul Brandon, an architect of the region.

The Art Deco style, typical of the period, is very evident in this building: concrete, metal roof-beams, mosaics and wrought ironwork, all juxtaposed with neo-gothic elements, as though the architect were giving a sly wink to the nearby cathedral.

The building's most unusual style caused it to be added to the supplementary list of Historic Monuments in 1994.

It was restored thanks to architect Paul Chemetov in 2007 and now houses the media library: "L'Apostrophe" (the Apostrophy).
