Housed in what was formerly the Episcopal Palace, where it moved in 1939, the Fine Arts Museum – Le Musée des Beaux-Arts – contains a rich collection of classical and modern art and offers a variety of temporary exhibitions.
For the most part situated in buildings dating from the 18th century, paintings by Zurbaran, Chardin, Soutine and Vlaminck are on display.
We can admire sculptures, enamels, coins and glass-work, and discover musical instruments, furniture, and South Sea Island art, as well objects linked to local History.
